Associate Principal Cello, Jacksonville Symphony - September, 2022 - Present
  • Assist in cello section leadership in 80 concerts per season
  • Step in as Principal as needed, including on short notice

  • Write, film, and produce bilingual series of lectures to allow adult students to begin to learn cello and musical fundamentals while quarantined due to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Provide personalized feedback to students based upon video submissions
  • Compose new method book and create extensive library of recordings to serve as a companion to video lectures
  • Conduct a series of online masterclasses with cellists from around the world of all levels to go along with the release of the course

Fellow, New World Symphony - September, 2019 - June, 2022
  • Perform as Principal Cello with conductors such as Michael Tilson Thomas, HK Gruber, Juanjo Mena, and Miguel Harth-Bedoya
  • Work on Fellow-led initiatives, including presenting a chamber music lecture recital exploring folk traditions and explaining complex topics such as modality to the audience in a digestible way
  • Teach virtual lessons to advanced students throughout South America in English and Spanish through NWS’ partnership with Medellín, Colombia’s Iberacademy
  • Winner of 2020 concerto competition, resulting in a performance of Bernd Alois Zimmermann’s Canto di Speranza under the baton of Matthias Pintscher
  • Work closely on music by HK Gruber and John Adams with their composers
  • Write a new orchestration of Camille Saint-Saëns’ first Cello Concerto for chamber orchestra and conduct from the cello
